girlfriends

This is Olive with our neighbor and good friend, Marisol, aka Mari. Mari is almost 6 and she has been an incredibly patient and loving friend to Olive since the day she was born. (Except for that one time when Mari was holding baby Olive and baby Olive spit up on her.) In fact, Mari was Olive's first visitor in the hospital. She gave Olive one of her stuffed animals - a bear that Olive still sleeps with. Conveniently for us, Mari's mother is one of my best friends, Betsy. Although we never imagined this scene, 15 years or so ago when we met, Betsy and I are so happy that our girls are growing up together. Mari nurtures Olive's dramatic inclinations, and Olive nurtures Mari's penchant for danger and nakedness! Best Friends Forever!!
