lovin' cousins

I love this picture of Olive's cousins, Jacob and Tessa - Halloween 2007.
Tessa is a s'more, of course.
And Jacob - he must have won the award for Best Costume...

Here are the cousins together in CA. Again, Tessa is a s'more!!

the future is now

Olive loves to talk on the phone. She is 4 - I fear for 13!!

***Update***these photos just in

These are some pictures from our visit with Igor and JoAnn in La Jolla.

holiday candy fest

For the third year in a row, Olive was lucky enough to be invited to Alejandro's gingerbread house party. Alejandro's aunt Becky, who owns a bakery in Maine, made 40 or so gingerbread houses so that Alejandro can invite a few friends over, get really cranked up on sugar and decorate gingerbread houses. It is fun, in a crazy, messy kind of way.

he knows who is naughty and who is nice

I think it is now officially a tradition - Olive and David will share a visit to Santa every year until age 18!! This Santa referred to Olive as a boy and David as a girl - even after asking them what their names were!

After, sharing Santa's lap, these friends shared some snuggles and some holiday cheer. And, they both recently had sleep-overs at each other's house - and all went smoothly - much to their parents' excitement.

4 years of joy

end of blog neglect

I am back and ready to catch youup on the last couple of months!

Just before we left for vacation, our neighbors Kerrie and Creston had welcomed sweet baby Cora Jane. Olive is very excited to teach Cora all about being a kid.

We flew into San Diego and spent two wonderful days with cousins, JoAnn and Igor in La Jolla. I am still waiting for Jon to send me photos from La Jolla so I don't have any to post here yet. Olive had a ton of fun going up and down the stairs in JoAnn's electric chair and riding on her scooter. She still is talking about that chair and about picking oranges and making juice with Igor.

Jon and I were very excited about going to California, going to the San Diego Zoo and the Monterey Aquarium - Olive really could have cared less. Besides her fun memories of staying with Igor and JoAnn, what she remembers most about our trip is waking up in the middle of the night and taking a taxi to the airport. That is the part that she wants to do again.

After 5 days traveling north from San Diego we arrived in San Francisco to begin the wedding festivities. During our stay in SF, in addition to seeing loads of fabulous Fassett family, we had the chance to see my old friend Jane Goldberg and old family friends, The Fromms and Laurie Naimen.

Here are some pictures from the rehearsal dinner and the wedding. Olive was a star flower girl. She looked so beautiful and walked down the aisle like a real pro.
